A STORY TO REMEMBER

What is the difference between the kings of the world and the King of kings, Jesus Christ??

THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE....

Yesterday, my dad and I were talking about the infamous dictators of the world, for example: Joseph Stalin, most infamous, Adolf Hitler, and Lenin.

Our conversation was soon led to the wars and kings of China. If you were to study the history of China, you will notice that there were always civil wars among the Chinese, either they were fighting against one another or kingdoms against kingdoms or the Chinese against the barbarians of the north.

So my dad told me that there were 3 mighty kingdoms that were fighting against one another. Whoever won the battle or war was crowned the next emperor of China. Therefore, the 3 kings of the kingdoms fought hard. All greedily wanting to sit on the throne.

As the battle was going on, one of the kings was defeated and had lost all his armies. In fear, the king ran into the woods of China, hiding himself from his antagonists, for they were coming after him. In the woods, he found a very small cottage, and in the cottage lived an old couple, with their grandchildren.

The old couple welcomed him, for he was a king, and they took good care of him. They gave him food, clothed him, and gave him shelter. One fine day, as the king was siting down, resting, he suddenly felt very uneasy and he sensed that something was not right. So hastily, he went to the room of the old couple, and placed his ears againt the door, and this was what the king heard..

"Quickly, we got to finish our job as soon as possible"

In hearing that, he flared with burning anger and drew out his swords. Without waiting, he went in and killed everyone in cottage. Including the grandchildren of the old couple. Leaving none alive!!

Later, historians found out that they actually wanted to prepare dinner for the king as soon as possible. The husband told his wife, "We got to prepare food for the king. We cannot keep the king waiting. Quickly, we got to finish our job as soon as possible."

When the king was brought before trial, he was questioned for his cruel act. They asked him why he did that, and this was the most famous saying of the king:

"I rather kill the whole world, than the whole world kill me"

As soon my dad had finished his story, my mum made the most wonderful analogy. This was what my mum said, See, this are the kings of the world. They would rather kill the world and save their own life, than letting the whole world get them..but

Jesus said,

" IT IS BETTER THAT ONE MAN DIE, THAN THE WHOLE WORLD PERISH"

Wonderful isn't it??!! This is our Jesus! Mind you, Jesus was the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is even greater than the king of China, yet he was willing to come and lay down his life.

Isn't our God great?! How great is our God..He is the name above all other names, and worthy of all our praises.

A very short post from me to you. Hope you enjoyed it! God bless and have a good night!

Sincerely: dpyc
