A BEAUTIFUL HYMN BY JOHN NEWTON

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound

That saved a wretched man like me

I once was lost, but now am found

Was blind but now I see

My chains are gone

I've been set free

My God my Savior has ransomed me

And like a flood

His mercy reigns

Unending love, amazing grace

LOVETH AT ALL TIMES, A FRIEND

"Two are better than one, if one falls down his friend can help him up"
- Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 -
Goodnight! God bless! Have a great Sunday!

A GREAT LESSON LEARNED

I have learned a very important lesson from my very own sister, Deborah. She is 8 years old and still growing.

Yesterday she was down with mild fever and today was the Sports Fiesta 2007 ( I will talk on that later.) She wanted to go so badly but mum said that she was not allowed to go because Deborah needed alot of rest. My mum was afraid that the fever would get worse because of the intense heat of the sun, and you know when you have fever, and your are in the sun, you would definitely become restless and start to feel uncomfortable, moreover if Deborah was tired and wanted to sleep, where could she sleep?!

But Deborah refused to stay at home. So my mum told her, "If you want to go for the sports fiesta, then you better go and sleep early, then by tomorrow you will feel much better." Immediately, after dinner, Deborah ate her medicine, took her shower and went to bed. That was around 8 sumthing..

Before she went to bed, she said to my mum, "Ma, if I am not able to go tomorrow can you please buy this for her friend, and she concluded by saying, but please, please wake me up no matter what. I really want to go for the event. With that she said goodnight and went to sleep"

As I came down the stairs, I saw a large, A4 sized piece of paper, sticked onto the wall, and on it this was what it said,

"Ma, please remember to wake me up when you wake up. If i'm not
going, can you please take my friend's coupons and buy something for her. Please
Please Please remember to wake me up NO MATTER WHAT! I've already given the coupons to David"

Thanks, Deborah

Complete and unabridged

Telling my mum she wanted to go was not all, she even wrote a letter..haha..but that was not all, during the night, she kept waking up. After waking up a few times, I asked her, "Why you keep on waking up and walking around huh? Go and sleep la" You want to go right tomorrow? And through her facial expression, I came to realise that each time she woke up was to see whether my mum had left for the event. Deborah wanted to make sure that my mum did not leave without her. She was so DETERMINE to go for the event.

That is the main subject of my post today, "DETERMINATION"

Just for a sports event, she was so so determine to go. Willing to sacrifice her sleep and health!

That really amazes me! I am happy that God taught me a lesson that was important. Standing my ground! =)

Finally she did went, before she went to bed I said to her, you sleep now, I will wake you up tomorrow ok? Hehehe..in the end she was the one who woke me up. When I woke up, the very first thing she said was, Yeah right! Say want to wake me up only. But never. I am the one who have wake u up! haha..isn't sisters just great!!

- SHIPWRECKED -

A "true" story that Billy Graham spoke about. It is about trusting God even when we can't see what's ahead for us.

There was a man who became shipwrecked on a deserted island years ago. He managed to build himself a hut to live in and with it stored the possessions he was able to salvage from his boat after it was wrecked.

He would watch every day for some sign of a ship or airplane passing by. He prayed to God for help. Some days he would get discouraged and wonder if he would ever get off that island, but still ... he prayed.

One day he was on the other end of the island and noticed some smoke coming from the direction of his hut. He ran as fast as he could back to the hut and then he realized that his fears had come true. His hut and all his belongings were destroyed by a fire. All that was left was the smoke and rubble of it all.

He asked God why did this have to happen. He did not understand. Soon he would find out. Later that day a ship appeared on the horizon and soon landed on the island and rescued him. They told him that they were plotting a distinct course and noticed smoke off in the distance and thought the smoke was a signal for help.

It was a sign for much needed help and it was a sign from God that He was still in control and He would not forsake His beloved child even if there was a doubt or not.

Out of the ashes of this life we can build another day! We can have beauty for ashes.

What a wonderful story! Sometimes, God acts in ways we do not understand! Like the man, he prayed constantly for help, he did not know what God's plan was. One fine day he saw heaps of smoke rising up into the sky, and ran towards the smoke, and to his horror he found the essential possesions for survival were on fire. The man became angry! Who would not am I right? If it was me, I honestly would be angry with God.

Lost on an unknown island. Not knowing what is in the island. The danger laid before the stranded man. Danger of wild animals?? Danger of natural disaster? Danger of sea pirates for instance..haha

But God's plan never fails and it is always the bestest plan! In the end, though all his possession he had was burned, but God used it to as a signal for help! Isn't our God an awesome God?? At last the man was rescued! =)

This story can be applied in our Christian walk with Christ. Sometimes bad things happen, it is not God does not care, or does not love us, neither does he has forgotten us, but it is for our own God. Sufferings may creep in once in a while. Some sufferings are mild, but some are painful, but do not worry, because every suffering that takes place in our lives are to:

1) strengthen our faith

2) make and mold us to be more and more like Christ

3) draw us into closer relationship with Christ

4) prepare us to be co-rulership with God

And not only that but we also glory in suffering, knowing that suffering produces perseverance, and perserverance character, and character, hope!

( Romans 5:3-4)

GOOD NIGHT!! =)
God bless you! and shine for him!

THE SETTING OF THE SUN

I took this sun set pictures quite some time back. I think it was around August...I can't really remember. This pictures that I post to you.. is the setting of the sun...=)
Oh ya...I really enjoy looking at the sun in the evening. I know it is not good to look at the sun directly, worry not..cause when I look at the sun, I either use a sunglasses, or if there are not sunglasses..I look through a tinted glass. =)

Looking at the sun, I have notice something really amazing. Some of you might not notice, but for those who has experienced it, you know what I am talking about.

I look at the sun, and the sun is above the clouds. I then bend down to tie my shoelaces, and when I look up again, the sun is now behind the clouds, sometimes, the sun is beneath the clouds...it really amazes me the quick changes that the sun make. In less than a minute, the sun has made vast progression. =)
It has happened many many times. Same goes to the clouds. One moment the clouds are thick and clump close together, next moment they are cirrus clouds. Far far apart from one another. =)

Alright, I don't to talk so much..haha..I hope you will enjoy the pictures. Sorry..if the pictures are not interesting, forgive me, when the camera is ready again, I asure you that my blog will constantly be filled with pictures!! haha.. =D

ENJOY !!!!

seen from a further distance

THE SUN HAS GONE DOWN, what it left was a luminous bright light.!! =)

That is all for now!! XD! God bless!!

Remember, Jesus will not and will never let you go!! =)

Good night!!

- SCARS OF LOVE -

OF

This is one of the most touching and beautiful story which I have come across. I have shared this story with so many ppl. I shared it with my fellow students and also the youths.

To those who have not yet read this wonderful story, here you go! I hope that you will be touched by this story and that you will be blessed! Enjoy....get a tissue box..if you want..hehe =)

Some years ago on a hot summer day in south Florida a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house. In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went. He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator was swimming toward the shore.

His mother in the house was looking out the window saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, she ran toward the water, yelling to her son as loudly as she could. Hearing her voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his mother. It was too late. Just as he reached her, the alligator reached him.

From the dock, the mother grabbed her little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was much stronger than the mother, but the mother was much too passionate to let go.

A farmer happened to drive by, heard her screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the alligator. Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his mother's fingernails dug into his flesh in her effort to hang on to the son she loved.

The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, "But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Mom wouldn't let go." You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, or anything quite so dramatic. But the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret But, some wounds, my friend, are because God has refused to let go.

In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you. The Scripture teaches that God loves you. You are a child of God. He wants to protect you and provide for you in every way.

But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril - and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins - and if you have the scars of His love on your arms be very, very grateful. He did not and will not - let you go.

He won't let any of us go!

Remember, He will not and will never let go of you!! He loves you dearly!

God bless you! =)

FOR THE SECOND TIME!!

This is the second time we played in the rain. Two years in a row and around the same month! Even the same coach!!

We had our FOOTEY BALL training today! As we were about to start our match, raindrops begin falling. In my heart I was, "O great! have to play in the rain again. And one thing I dislike about the rain when we played football is....when you kick the ball really really hard, with all your strength and the ball rolls a few meters and gets stuck in the puddle of water, or to make things worst, the ball sometimes does not even MOVE!! Have you experience that before?? If you have..you know how irritating it is...

You got to kick a few times to get the ball out of the puddle of water and get it moving again. So, it took alot of effort to play football in the rain.

But..when the rain poured down heavier and heavier, I remembered the time when we played football in the rain. Getting all wet and smelly. How I missed that day!!

Immediately, I stopped complaining, and the next moment, in my heart, i said, "Oh..please RAIN HEAVIER!!" Was I crazy?? One moment I was complaning, the next moment I was begging for the rain to get heavier. Well, it did rain heavily. Though it was not easy playing in the rain, but my friends and I sure had a great time.

Ps: This is some of the occasions when I am allowed to play in a heavy rain..hehehe..

God bless..and stay blessed =)

- ISAIAH 40 -

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand

and marked off the heavens with a span,

enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure

and weighed the mountains in scales

and the hills in a balance?

Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord,

or what man shows him his counsel?

Whom did he consult,

and who made him understand?

Who taught him the path of justice,

and taught him knowledge,

and showed him the way of understanding?

Do you not know?

Do you not hear?

Has it not been told you from the beginning?

Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth,

and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers;

who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,

and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;

To whom then will you compare me,

that I should be like him? says the Holy One.

Lift up your eyes on high and see:who created these?

He who brings out their host by number,
calling them all by name,

by the greatness of his might,

and because he is strong in power not one is missing.

Have you not known? Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary;

his understanding is unsearchable.

He gives power to the faint,

and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Even youths shall faint and be weary,

and young men shall fall exhausted;

but they who wait on the Lord

shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings like eagles;

they shall run and not be weary;

they shall walk and not faint.

God bless!

STOP - CONSIDER - APPRECIATE

Hey peeps!! How ya'll doing?

Stop what you are doing for a second, and take a look out your window. Lift up your eyes to the heavens! What do you see? The immense sky spread across? the brilliance of the sun? the movement of the birds?

Isn't there a thought in your mind when you look at all this wonder, that there is indeed a Creator?!

Taking another few seconds from you, just take a good look at yourself! Don't you think that you are unique? Look at your thumb...it looks simple am i right? You might think it is just another finger sticking out from your hand, it looks out of place since all the other fingers are parallel, and it is FAT!! , but just this simple thumb, it has vast complexity.

As I grow older, I have begun to admire and appreciate God's creation! I begin to discover that there is so so much more things in this small world, that man has not yet discover! Mysteries has yet to be solved.

Recently, a few scientist discovered 300 new species of animals? This species were explored and founded in the deep ocean basin of Manila, Philippines. I clicked to view the pictures of the new discovered species, and man I tell you, each creature had their own uniquness and characteristic. It all came in different sizes, color, and shape. Take a look at the picture! I hope the National Geographic won't sue me for posting their pictures..haha..XD

an underwater spaceship??

planktons found in the Celebes Sea

Spiderman?? Transparent man?? Beautiful huh? =)

Terminator Squido? Can you see the brain?? God's creation

Blow fish

Aren't they extraordinary?? This are creatures that not many people has seen. According to the scientists that explored, it was reported that the depth of the Celebas Sea ( the sea in which it contained all this creatures) was 16,500 feet deep. And the team was only able to explore to a depth of 9,100 feet!!

Image what else could be living 7,400 under!!??

Isn't God just creative and wonderful? The Bible says, "...his understanding, NONE can fathom.." Nothing matches the mind of God!

Appreciate the creation of God. And remember tend the garden laid before us!

I will continue more on "creation"..=)

For now God bless and cherish this wonderful year of 2007!

A POEM A DAY

ENTERING INTO HIS REST

Weary and tired a days work is gone

I fall sound asleep with the lights left on

Your wonderful letters lay open face up

I was reading about your unbearable cup

The torture you went through, how can it be

Your death on that cross, it was just for me

You rose from the dead to give us new life

Free from all sorrow and burden and strife

Your gift called grace, makes my spirit new

My sleep is so sweet with visions of you.

COMFORT

This morning sun shines with its golden rays

Let your heart rejoice in wonderful ways

Belong to the Lord, continue to pray

Nothing will harm you the rest of your days

The Lord, He protects His children, that's so

His band of angels with trumpets they blow

They fly around us and therefore we know

That He is with us wherever we go

With Jesus inside, there is nothing to fear

No need to be scared or to cry a tear

My spirit rejoices for He is near

Accept His comfort, His voice you will hear

He says, "Don't be scared and loud we must sing."

As the angels make all of heaven ring

Their voices so pretty like birds in spring

Mighty our Father all hail to the King

Such a wonderful poem. Knowing that where you go, whether you are sitting down or rising up, God has charged his heavenly angels to watch over you so that no harm will come near you!

Have a great day and God bless!

He will give his angels charge over you and in their hands they will bear you up (Matthew 4:6)

- THE PRAYER OF JABEZ -

Oh, that You would bless me indeed,

and enlarge my territory,

that Your hand would be with me,

and that You would keep me from evil.

Make this your daily prayer. Though it is short and so simple, yet it is one of the greatest prayers prayed in the Bible. So important that it caused historians to stop, turn around, and switch tactics.

God bless you and have a great holiday!! =)

- GREATEST TOOL USED -

Satan's most effective, powerful, easiest, useful tool in his collection of tools in his storehouse is the tool of DISCOURAGEMENT. That is the dullest, simplest, and tinniest tool, yet it is the most effective tool used on any man...whether Christian or a non-believer. DISCOURAGEMENT, remember, is Satan's most powerful tool. Never fall for the discouragements of the enemy.

As the Apostle Paul states in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;"

In other words discouragement may creep in occasionally but it need not be permanent nor overpowering. So long as we keep our focus on our Source Jesus Christ and continue to get up each and every time we are knocked down.

Do not feel discourage! Never ever listen to discouragements. When you feel discourage, always remember to pray to Jesus, because he is the author and perfector of our faith.

Don't let the tool of DISCOURAGEMENT, prevent you from becoming what God wants and intends you to be...=)

God bless! Stay blessed, and 2008 is on the way!!

SMILE

This is one of the cutiest stories I have read! It was so good that I shared it with all my classmates. So I don't want to lose you guys out, so I will post it for you, so that you can read it!

IT IS A MUST READ!

Hope you will be blessed by this short and wonderful story!

A little girl walked to and from school daily. The weather one morning was questionable and clouds were forming, yet she made her daily trek to the elementary school.

As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school and she feared that the electrical storm might harm her child. Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky.
Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. As she did so, she saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up and smile. Another and another were to follow quickly and with each the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile.

When the mother's car drew up beside the child she lowered the window and called to her, "What are you doing? Why do you keep stopping?"
The child answered, "I am trying to look pretty. God keeps taking my picture."

May God bless you today as you face the storms that come your way ... do not be afraid. Always remember that God is on your side, and he will battle on your behalf. Never ever let the storms and winds of life, stop you from becoming what God has intended you to be.

He is by your side!

" He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge!"

God bless and have a nice day!

A BEAUTIFUL ANALOGY

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed.

As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument.

The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.

The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"

"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers DO exist!", answered the barber. "What happens, is, people do not come to me."

"Exactly!" - affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Have you looked for God lately?? He is waiting for you to seek Him!!

What a simple, yet beautiful ANALOGY!!

Hope you were blessed by the short and simple story!! Remember, God is waiting for you to seek him...for the Bible says, he who knocks on the door unto him shall it be open, he who seeks shall he find and he who ask shall receive!!

God bless you! stay tune for more inspirational stories! Have a great year!

- A POSITIVE ATTITUDE -

Recently i found an article as was I flicking through my files. This article was short in length, yet important in lesson. The title of the article was " Positive Attitude is Everything." What do you mean positive attitude is everything?? Well, it is very simple. Let me illustrate to you a very simple illustration.

Thomas Alva Edison!! The man who invented the first workable light bulb. He did not invent the first light bulb ok?! he he...getting back to subject, Thomas Alva Edison had failed many times in attempt to make the light bulb burn longer. He tried many times and it is recorded that before he invented his first workable light bulb, he failed 2,000 times.

During an interview, one of the reporters asked Thomas A. Edison, " How did it feel to fail 2,000 times?" This was the reply of Thomas Edison, "Young man, I did not fail 2,000 times, it so happened that it was a process of 2,000 steps.

Now..if you want, take a piece of paper and a pen. Write the word "attitude" vertically. Once you have done that...from exmaple the alphabet "A" is 1 because it is the first letter, for "B" it is 2, for "C" it is 3 and so forth. Once you have done that...add all the numbers that you have written down....

A = 1
T = 20
T = 20
I = 9
T = 20
U = 21
D = 4
E = 5

Total = 100

Therefore, a positive attitude is EVERYTHING!! =)

Hope you like the a bit of sciences and maths...haha..remeber always have a positive attitude!! Never lose heart and never say you cannot do anything!! God bless!

Have a great year and Jesus loves you!!

Sincerely: dpyc
