GRC UTH RALLY 2007

yesterday, i was just trying out some of my photography skills, because this year for D.O.E I am taking photography. And for those of you who do not know what D.O.E means, it is "Day of Excellence". It is an event which is held yearly in my school, in which the purpose is to bring out the God given talents in the students. So, i'm just going to post up some pictures i took, =) moreover ppl prefer looking at pictures rather than reading. Enjoy! =)

SUNWAYLICIOUS!!

i just love the holidays!! =) thought that it was going to be very "uneventful" because dad is working but something 'great' happened today! FRIDAY. Papa took leave today.We went to Sunway Pyramid after such a long time. At first I had to choose whether to go for futsal with my friends or to go out with my own family!! but finally, since this whole week I did not go out with my family, i decided to go to Sunway with them. Sorry guys for not turning up for futsal - a thousand apologies..especially to Joel Bryan! Sorry!

Anyway getting back to the subject. I really had a wonderful time in Sunway today. I am one who don't like to go shopping simply because I hardly buy things and half the time I follow my sisters and mum everywhere they go. And where and what stuffs do they normally look at?? Yup, you've guessed it "Girls' Stuffs" such as earrings, shoes ( Vincci and Gucci), and clothes. If the shopping complex is really big like MidValley, the journey will be literally 'forever'. But yesterday was really different. =)

Nothing else made my day better than trying out the Sunway Pyramid Ice. I went for Ice Skating! It was my first time! At first I was like "Should I go or should I not go" because half the time I would be like holding on to the sides. Furthermore, seeing so many "accidents" in the ice skating rink, made me think twice. Each time you hear a sound "Boop" you know that someone has landed on his butt. haha. But I like to try out new things, so I told my dad, "alright I will try it out." I went and bought my gloves, got my shoes and got myself ready.

For a first timer, I was really proud of myself! You know why? 'Cause I only fell ONCE in the whole 2 and a half hours of skating. I did not want to fall at all, but the ice was really slippery. Really sorry I do not have any pictures of me skating. I did not know that I was going ice skating at first. But I do have pictures of my gloves and ticket. Here they are...

I am actually looking forward for the next holiday to get into the ice skating rink once again. It was indeed a wonderful experience. Sunway Pyramid is one of the nicest shopping malls in my list. Now I have blisters on my feet because I wore the wrong socks and the shoes were really tight.=( But I don't really mind, because I had lots of "FUN" haha...anyway.. Thank you Papa and Mama!!

Oh yes another thing, do you know that every direction I turned to, whether North or South or East or West...I saw LALA'S!! Sunway is indeed full of lala's...haha

A new preacher had just begun his sermon. He was a little nervous, and about ten minutes into the talk his mind went blank. He remembered what they had taught him in seminary to do when a situation like this would arise - repeat your last point. Often this would help you remember what is coming next. So he thought he would give it a try.

"Behold, I come quickly," he said. Still his mind was blank. He thought he would try it again. "Behold I come quickly." Still nothing happened.

He tried it one more time with such force that he fell forward, knocking the pulpit to one side, tripping over a flowerpot, and falling into the lap of an old lady in the front row.

The young preacher apologized and tried to explain what happened.

"That's all right, young man," said the little old lady. "It's my fault. I should have gotten out of the way. You told me three times you were coming."

- FOOTPRINTS -

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two pairs of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed hat many times, along the path of life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that once i decided to follow You, You'd walk with me along the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprintS. I don't understand why when I needed you most You would leave me.

The Lord replied, "My son, My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I CARRIED YOU!!

"And yes, I am with you always." (Matthew 28:20)

My Dear Lost Sheep,

You asked me where I am. My child, I am with you and always will be. You are weak, but in Me you are strong. I love you so much that I can't let you die. I am so close that I feel everything you feel.

I know what you are going through, for I am going through with you. But I have set you free and you must stand firm. You do not need to die physically for my enemies to be gone, but you crucified with Me and I will live in you, and you shall live with Me. I will direct you in paths of righteousness. My child, I love you and will never forsake you, for you are truly mine.

Positive Attitude is Everything!!

Wilma Rudolph was the 20th of the 22 children. She was born prematurely and her survival was doubtful. When she was 4 years old, she was contacted double pneumonia and scarlet fever, which left her with a paralyzed left leg. At age 9, she removed the metal leg brace she had been dependent and begin to walk without it. By 13, she had developed a rhythmic walk, which doctors said it was a miracle. That same year she decided to become a runner. She entered a race and came in last. For the next few years every race she entered, she came in last. Everyone told her to quit, but she kept on running. One day she actually won a race. And then another. From then on she won every race she entered. Eventually this little girl, who was told she would never walk again, went on to win THREE Olympic gold medals.

A winner is not one who never fails, but one who NEVER QUITS!!

LOVE OF GOD

As I was looking through my book...I found this rectangular post cards with Scriptures and words of wisdom on it. So I took the cards and began to read it one by one...and as I was reading those rectangular cards, I came by this card. I lifted it up and read it. And on it were this Scripture verses ...


"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

(Romans 8: 38-29)


What a wonderful verse isn't it? Knowing that nothing can come in the way of the love of God for you. For me, it is one of the most wonderful Scriptures in the Bible. Because it reveals to me the bigness of God's love for everyone. He has loved you with an everlasting love. For His love is the Agape love. An eternal, everlasting, infinite, and never ending LOVE!! Remember, NOTHING can separate you from God's love...NOTHING!!

He loves you and always will!!

F.R.I.E.N.D.S??!!A six letter word, yet it means a lot to us. Friends are special gifts from God to us. we love to be with our "gang"... we love the company of one another. but one important subject to touch on is the importance of being a true friend and also having true friends in your midst. it is very difficult to find real, true friends who will stand up for you and protect you. We ought to choose long life friends..friends who will be there when you need them. But remeber we need to choose friends that are God fearing...one who leads you the right path. True friends too are those that correct you, reprimand you, and shows you the correct way. They are also those that builds you up when you are down, prays for you and loves you!! Lastly, always remember to be a true friend!! For a true friend loves at all times!

So remember that true friends are very rare like diamond. You have to search hard to find it. Choose the right friends and be one true friend!!

Keep your friendship and treasure it!! and most importantly treasure your friends!!
